Samantha and Katie Harvey, have been performing together for over ten years. What started as a mutual hobby became a cherished partnership. As musicians and dancers, they have both attained prestigious awards and distinctions, individually and together. Katie has earned Open first place titles in both Scottish and Old-Time Fiddle Contests, and competed regionally, nationally and overseas as an Open Champion Irish dancer. Together they recorded the soundtrack for the 2009 & 2014 Irish Dance World Championship, and the 2013 North American Championship first place figure choreographies. In addition to private students, Katie teaches at events such as the Julian Family Fiddle Camp, Equinox Festival, Topanga Folk Festival and Silver Apple Fiddle Camp. Often performing with their band is brother John, on drum, and Thomas, on fiddle. The Harvey Band performs Celtic music on fiddle, keyboard, accordion, percussion and dance. They bring energy, skill and captivating entertainment to audiences of all ages.
